My Review:

My HG Body Wash!! What can I say? The Product lives up to everything it says!! It is a very basic wash, but not like most body washes because it is like a cleansing oil (which is for the face and takes off makeup, sunscreen etc.) for your body!!! If you want to make sure all of your daily grime is really cleansed off, get this!!!! It takes off my heavy duty sunscreens, and even takes off my antiperspirant!!!! People complained of the smell on MakeupAlley, but it just smells like oil, because there are no masking ingredients to irritate sensitive skin!!!

Ingredients:

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, MIPA Laureth Sulfate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Laureth 4, Cocamide DEA, Poloxamer 101, Laureth 9, Lanolin Alcohol, Water, Citric Acid, Diammonium Citrate, Propyl Gallate, BHT

Overall I rate this a 5/5!!!!

Review: ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer

15 Apr

aphogee2Price: $5.49 (with my Sally’s Card @ Sally Beauty Supply)

Every now and then they have Buy 1 get 1 Free Sales!

Size: 8 fl oz.

What it claims:

Prevents breakage and split ends
Protects from the harsh effects of chemical services.
Anti-oxidant green tea protects hair
Adds body for easier styling
Convenience of leave-in conditioning spray
Protects hair color
Alcohol-Free formula

ApHOGEE Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer is the ultimate one-step strengthening treatment. This one step formula combines the strengthening properties of keratin protein with the antioxidant benefits of green tea. It helps reduce breakage and split ends and adds body to limp, lifeless hair. Active ingredients bond into the hair shaft with natural body heat or heat from styling tools. ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer is especially recommended for at home care of relaxed or permed hair and may be used between shampoos during touch up styling. It also protects hair color.

My Review:

This stuff is great! I find that it helps my hair color stay in, and it really does strengthen my hair due to the wonderful ingredients it contains.  I use this as a leave-in conditioner/protector in the morning when my hair is dry as to not cause acne while I am sleeping.  I mainly use shampoo and no conditioner because it is too heavy for my fine hair, and I get acne from conditioners. If I do use conditioner, it will only be once or twice a week mainly as a treatment.

I also use the ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer and it makes my hair silky and soft. The Essential Oils for Hair is amazing too, I use it every now and then when I need something extra. This  is not a good product if you just freshly dyed your hair because it will strip the color out due to the oil content in it.  Overall I like all of the ApHogee line except for the shampoos because they contain harsh detergents. The really great thing is that the whole ApHogee line is under $10!!!

Ingredients:

Water, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Silk, Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Extract, Glycine Alanine, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cetrimonium Chloride, PVP, Citric Acid, Fragrance, FD&C Red #40, D&C Green #5, FD&C Yellow #6.

Overall I rate this Product a 5 out of 5.

Review: Olay Quench Active Hydration Body Lotion

15 Apr

olay quench active hydrationPrice: $6.29 (at HEB which is a grocery store here in Texas), 11.8 fl oz(350 ml)

What it claims:

with green tea & vitamin complex

for deeply moisturized, yet sheer fresh skin

  • A moisturization breakthrough from Olay that gives you sheer, fresh, deeply hydrated skin.

Quench, with Green Tea and Vitamins Complex, is advanced body care.  This quickly absorbing, non-greasy formula can actually prevent dryness while leaving skin with a sheer, fresh feel.  First, Quench provides an immediate burst of moisture that continues for 24 hours.  Then, drawn deep into the skin’s surface, it repairs and nourishes the moisture barrier, strengthening skin’s resilience against everyday drying conditions.  The result?  Fast-absorbing moisturization that breaks the cycle of dry skin, for quenched beautiful skin everyday.

My Review: Spring is here, so it is time for me to switch to a lighter, sheerer hydrating lotion, and this stuff is GREAT!!!! I do wish it was fragrance-free though because the smell is STRONG but its a candy-tea type smell that goes away after about an hour. This stuff is a tad bit sticky when I sweat but that is all and it hydrates my skin ALL DAY without it feeling THICK like Vaseline, plus I think it may have evened out my skin tone already because the scars and dark areas on my body seem a bit lighter. It also has slight shimmer due to the mica in it at the bottom of the list, but it is not noticeable on the skin. This also hasn’t broken me out on my arms and chest or caused an allergic reaction (fragrance is listed at the bottom, which is great)

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide (Niacin), Petrolatum, Isopropyl Isostearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Glycine, Alanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Arginine, Lysine, Glutamic Acid (Amino Acids), Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract (Matricaria), Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Dimethicone, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Panthenol (Vitamin B-5), Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyethylene, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Behenyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Dimethiconol, Disodium EDTA, Stearic Acid, PEG 100 Stearate, Sodium PCA, Betaine, Sorbitol, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, C12 13 Pareth 3, Laureth 7, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Tin Oxide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide

Overall I would rate it a 5 out of 5 because it works so well and it really does have great ingredients in it to benefit your skin!
